Acesso
Depois de chegar à Ponta Delgada, siga em direção ao sítio da Lombada. No ponto #1 vire à esquerda pela estrada de betão até ao ponto #2 local onde deve estacionar, perto de um fontanário.
Siga a pé pelo caminho que mais à frente se transforma em vereda. Esta zona tem uma grande rede de trilho pelo que será mais fácil utilizar o Track GPS disponibilizado para chegar ao Canyon. A zona inicial sobe pelo leito de um córrego #3 e depois vira à direita por uma vereda que serpentei a encosta. Á cota 700m, perto de um afluente, desça peça pela direita e suba logo com a ajuda do corrimão em cabo de aço. A vereda entra quase em plano para o vale do Canyon.
A vereda de acesso termina junto a R2 (Poço das Pulgas), para descer o canyon desde R1 é necessário contornar os dois primeiros rapeis pela margem direita do Ribeiro.
Saída
Após R8 saia pela margem esquerda e siga o trilho que volta a atravessar a Ribeira após 150m #3 (local onde iniciamos a subida para o canyon).
Observações
Existe uma vasta rede de veredas que permite começar a descida deste canyon um pouco mais para cima, no entanto não foi explorado e não se sabe se valerá a pena.
Em R6 e R7 existe equipamento na margem esquerda, no entanto as árvores na margem direita evitam melhor o roçamento da corda.

Another chapter in the competition between canyoneers, trying to cut out the fallen trees in the canyon and on the access path and the nature, throwing new trunks into the riverbed.
A nice day in the misty air, that gave the feeling of dusk from the beginning till the end.

Normal flow, fresh water, access path in good condition except the handrail in the section after the small valley.
All bolts tight, a few branches in the canyon, but easily passable. Return path also in good condition.
Descended on April 11th 2025 with the family starting from R3.
All anchor points were in good condition (we did the long rappels in one go).
Beautiful last cascade. We all went just through the water without issues. It was difficult to avoid. (As you can see on the photo, there was enough water – it has been raining daily high up).
We loved it very much.

Very high flow after the rainy night in the montains but still doable. Only the last waterfall needed a rappel guidé. For the future two bolts in the bottom would be nice, I used a huge but already rotten tree.
One of the bolts of the chain of the last rappel is loose.

Vereda – 1 Ponto. Quando fazemos a viragem à esquerda para iniciar a subida, alguns galhos caidos que complicam a passagem, mas transponivel, algum cuidado. 👍🏻.
Vereda 2 Ponto. A segunda zona de cabo de aço, onde subimos por umas passadas feitas nas rocha, esse mesmo cabo de aço esta rolado, partiu-se certamente com quedas de pedras, encontra-se algo exposta a subida.

– Em R6 foi usado a Arvoré, gerir o ligeiro roço existente a meio.
– No final do canyon, já havia lá uma arvore caida, agora encontra mais uma no leito da agua. (Verificar o mini tobogã após as mesmas).
Canyoning encontra-se como sempre bonito e super estético, a árvore grande tombada ainda lá se encontra ✅.
Vereda encontra-se toda ela seca, algumas partes com terra a mais, mas nada de complique, super acessivel 👍🏻.

Foi substituída a ancoragem de R2 devido a um parabolt que estava solto. Restante equipamento ok.

Vereda encontra-se “boa” houve alguma terra que veio pro trilho, mas nada de mais 👍🏻.

Subida ao R1 encontra-se alterada, eu proprio efectuei outro caminho, mas notamos que foi aberto outras entradas, que até facilitam, pois antigamente íamos sempre encostado à rocha.

Everything is in good condition. The trees before the last rappel are being cut a bit more on each descent. They are almost gone.

Interestingly the weather in the north was almost dry. The waterlevel in Camisa was a bit better than in October but it is still an easy level. One bolt was a bit loose. Some new landslides on the access have happenend but nothing serious. A good descent.

Everything is in very good condition: The upper parking is open again because the new house is almost ready, the access path is cleaned and well visible, the access to the upper waterfalls is wide enough, all anchors are fixed and even the return is free of thorns and bushes.
A perfect day with just one small flaw: The water level is very low.

Everything is in good condition, the access to the two upper waterfalls is clearly visible, it starts just below the second one of them. If you arrive at the Camisa river, just walk riverupwards for a good 100 meters, until you reach the waterfall. Here the path starts on the left side (so river right). Take care even with the handrail the path is dangerous in some sections. And yes, it´s a bit muddy 🙂

Low water level but with the sun and the blue sky the area turns into a fairytale forest. On the last rappel the lower anchor needs to be tightened. All other equipment in good condition.

As part of the ICA meetings we checked Camisa today. Everything is in the known order, the access path ist a bit overgrown in some parts, especially the short path that leads to the first two waterfalls. All anchors are in place, we cut a few of the fallen trees and changed the bolt of the slide before the last waterfall. It is now further back and less dangerours to be reached.
And there are four new chemical bolts on R6 and R7, they replace the trees used as anchors before. R6 is on a block next to the previously used tree. If you wish to protect the rope on R6, the old anchor around the tree can be used as deviation. R7 is two meters below the previously used tree on a ledge. It is very comfortable and has almost no rope friction.

Good flow, more than usual. The old parking at the fountain is still blocked on some days by the workers at the house.
The access was quite muddy, there was even water running down the river bed where you start climbing up. The gear was all in place, I installed a short handrail on the narrowest part of the path that climbs up to the two upper water falls. But be careful, the rock quality is very bad. In the future, more handrail will be necessary.

Neste dia apresentava chuva, a vereda na parte de terra, encontrava-se algo escorregadia, estava muito fácil de termos uma queda. Mas em quase toda ela, tem cabo de aço revestido e em boa condições. Acesso aos primeiros rapeis, é sempre aquela aventura de pantanal. Acho melhor haver ou colocarmos um cabo de aço nos últimos 20 -30 metros, temos ali uma passagem muito exposta onde um passo em falso vai haver problemas sérios.
Canyon com algum caudal, todas as amarrações ESTÃO OK !

Descido a 9 de Outubro de 2022. Amarrações todas ok e caudal ok. Árvores ainda continuam tombadas dentro do canyon entre R7 e R8 mas não apresentam grande dificuldade para as transpor. Foram apertadas uma das plaquetas da R8 e a plaqueta do Back up da R9. No futuro se calhar considerar arranjar uma alternativa á árvore na R6 pela razão que a base da árvore está inclinada apresentando já algum desgaste e a corda desliza para a extremidade, visto que o rapel pela margem direita é mais interessante que pela margem esquerda.

Everything is in good condition, unfortunately it is impossible to park at the fountain, there is construction work for a house going on and the parking is always blocked by material and tools and workers cars. I guess it will last several month, so better don´t drive up. Turning the car is impossible up there, the last two times I visited Camisa, I have parked a few hundred meters further down next to a small grey concretre building.

It ads five minutes of walking, but the place is more clean if you also change clothes there.
There is another parking further up, opposite of a house, but this is private area! Better don´t park there.
I did some brush cutting on the path up to the first two waterfalls. The path starts just at the buttom of the Poco das Pulgas waterfall on river right. It is now easy to be seen, but in some parts muddy and kind of exposed and dangerous in others. Take care when climbing up and stay close to the wall.

All equipment in place and in good condition. Due to the new anchor on the last waterfall Camisa can now be done with 2 ropes of 25 m (and safety rope of course!) if you are not with a group.
The access path is well visible. And the return path river left after the last waterfall is also easy to follow. Dont follow the blue sign for the return but stay close to the riverbed.

All equipment in place, three big trees fell into the canyon before the last waterfall but it is possible to pass them. The steelcable on the access path has been renewed and some steps have been cemented in that area. Also some trees have been cut. It is still easy to loose the right path…

Amarrações em bom estado, cauda super interessante e bem composto.
Acesso meio lamacento principalmente na aproximação.
Estrada de acesso foi limpa, mas dificuldade para estacionar junto á fonte mantém-se (recomendado apenas 2 carros).

Vereda em perfeitas condições e devidamente sinalizada, encontrando-se a parte final (proximo r1 e r2) com alguma lama!

Descent on 18.January 2021
The street towards the canyon was open, the parking at the fountain still exists but is limited to two cars. There was a landslide on the first part of the access path, big trees are blocking the “road”, but passing by foot is possible.
For the walk up just follow the blue sings “poco das pulgas”. In details: after a few minutes on the forest road, climb up a dry river bed on the left (first blue sign). After some minutes, the path leads to the right into the forest. 15 minutes after the first blue sign you reach a more flat area. Walk along the path for 5 minutes until you reach the third blue sign on a tree with a big arrow. Here a small and steep path leads down to a small river bed. Cross it and find your way to the opposite wall. Here you climb up the wooden ladder and follow the steel cable. Later you cross another riverbed. A few minutes later you reach Camisa. We did not test the path to the two upper waterfalls, last time it was too dangerous.
All the equipment in the canyon was in perfect condition. I would love to have a second bolt on the deviation of the last waterfall, so the anchor could serve for a full rappel from that point. Some fallen trees in the canyon could need a saw but nothing urgent.

Foi utilizado o track GPS o qual encaminha até o poço das pulgas. A vereda até este local apresenta-se em bom estado, verificando-se duas placas indicativas “poço das pulgas” (no início e a meio do trilho).
A vereda na margem direita para acesso a R1 e R2 encontra-se com muita lama, alguma vegetação e algumas zonas expostas.
Em R6 e R7 foram utilizadas as árvores na margem direita, encontrando-se em bom estado.
Caudal normal, trilho de saída com alguma vegetação.
Descido a 08-03-2019, na aproximação encontramos uma derrocada que dificulta a passagem,há que ter atenção à paquete direita no R6 esquerdo, a pedra onde está se encontra está a rachar e apenas apertei novamente o parabolt.
Descido a 23/10/2018 Caudal normal, algumas ancoragens tiveram que ser apertadas mas estão todas em bom estado.
Descido a 21 de maio de 2018, Na aproximação deparamo-nos com uma placa azul escrito “poço das pulgas” dando a indicação do trilho.
No seguimento do trilho depois da ribeira da Camisa ate R1 está em péssimo estado, devido a existência de muita lama, temos que ter em atenção em algumas zonas expostas. O canyon tinha todas as ancoragens Ok e caudal dentro do normal.
Descida dia 30-03-2018, alguma vegetação na parte final do percurso até entrar no canyoning, as amarrações encontravam-se em bom estado para que as descidas fossem feitas em segurança, algumas derrocadas ao longo do canyoning contudo fáceis de ultrapassar.

Canyon muito estético, bonitas cascatas e com um bom caudal.
É possível iniciar o canyon mais acima mas há que contar com uma aproximação de mais de 2h e uma vereda muito exposta.
Encontramos algumas pontas de corda deixadas a quando da abertura e que ainda estavam em bom estado. Decidimos equipar apenas a última cascata para podermos fazer o rapel pela linha de água (ponto único).
