Acesso:
Depois de deixar a vila do Seixal e seguir em direção ao Porto Moniz, saia à direita dentro de um grande túnel (acesso Á Ribeira Funda) Depois de chegar à antiga ER101 pode optar por deixar aí um carro (ponto de saída do canyon). Suba pelo túnel e deixe o seu carro no final desta pequena estrada #1. Prossiga pela vereda entre as casas até alcançar o início do Canyon da Ribeira Funda. Existia aqui uma antiga ponte destruída pelo temporal. Suba um pouco o leito até conseguir passar para a outra margem. Prossiga novamente pela vereda cerca de 5min. O início do canyon coincide com a vereda. Uma pequena marcha com blocos marca o início.
Saída:
A saída do canyon é feita ao nível do mar. Siga a antiga estrada pela direita e encontrará o ponto de início de subida para a Ribeira Funda.
Observações:
Em R2 caiem algumas pedras é necessário limpar antes do fracionamento.

Due to too much rain for some other canyons, my son & I did this one on April 15th 2025.
The access path was difficult by moments. Getting to the first rappel even more difficult due to the brambles (only one part were we had to cut through 1,5m of bushes).
But as of the first rappel, it was really beautiful and a nice flow.
Equipment in good condition (one loose bolt)
What we learned
* you can still park on the indicate spot, but since the road is blocked, you need to take the exit in the main tunnel to get there. Not sure if allowed for non locals. We had a much longer walk to get to the canyon.
* R6 was quite hidden and a bit overgrown – with the colour equal to the environment. It is on the left rather high (where you would expect it)
* There is an anchor to install a rappel guidé on the last cascade
Descended 05. March 2024
The access from Funda is a little difficult to find, then it is overgrown with thorns in places, we removed some with a machete, but the brambles grow quickly. From the forest, the path is clear. The first 100 metres in the ravine were an hour-long battle against the brumbles, but we won and cleared the path with two machetes. The first abseil is on the large boulder on the left. At the second cascade, the first two anchors are well back and two more are just beyond the right bank ridge on a large boulder. The rest is easy to find, with the exception of the last piton. The entry to Funda was very spectacular.
Descido a 30-04-2021, acesso está cheio de silvado, primeira ancoragem inexistente, foi deixado uma ponta de corda, necessário substituir ancoragem antes de chegar á Ribeira Funda. De resto tudo ok, caudal fraco.
Descido a 27-11-2014, todas as amarrações estavam ok, em R2 existe alguma queda de pedras, é necessário limpar o fracionamento.
